NOTICE OF PROPOSED RESOLUTIONS TO BE CONSIDERED AT THE DSC QGM to be held AT 7.30PM ON TUESDAY 25TH NOVEMBER 2008
Resolution 1:
That all reference in the Constitution to the “Race Committee” be changed to “Sailing Committee”.

Resolution 2:
That in clause 32.6 (1) of the Darwin Sailing Club constitution, the words “except Special General Meetings” be inserted after “all General Meetings” and thatclause 32.6 (4) be inserted, stating “The Secretary shall convene all Special General Meetings of the club by giving not less than twenty-one (21) days’ notice of any such meeting to the members of the club.”

That the Darwin Sailing Club review, in full, our current constitution and management structure.

Clean Up for the Cyclone Season Saturday 15th November
It is that time of year again. The clean up will start at 0800hr. All members are encouraged to attend, there is plenty to prepare.

WANTED SMALL WETSUITS
The minnows are off to Victoria at Christmas for the Nationals. In previous years the water temperature and Melbourne weather has been such that a wetsuit has been a useful and welcome addition to the sailing kit. BOATPARK CHARGES 1ST NOVEMBER 2008 TO 30TH APRIL 2009
The Management Committee, at its meeting of 9th September 2008, approved the following BoatPark charges applicable from the 1st November 2008 to 30th April 2009
MonohullsMultihulls
Vessels up to 8m LOA$300$450
Vessels over 8m up to 10m LOA$400$600
Vessels over 10m up to 12m LOA$500$750
Vessels over 12m LOA $600$900
The charge applies to the length overall of the vessel stored in the BoatPark, not the length of the trailer or cradle.
Empty trailers or cradles are to be charged at the rate applicable to the LOA of the vessel that uses the trailer or cradle.
Off the beach boats are not to be stored at the Club during this period.
1986 Interview with the Tom Strickland, Founding Commodore
Regimental Ball Darwin's 1st Armoured Regiment is holding its Ball at DSC on Friday 14th November. This will be a very special evening for the Regimant and we wish them a very successful night.

Another very successful event at the Darwin Sailing Club enjoyed by club members and their guests. Great food, wine and atmosphere. The patrons are hoping the event will be held again next year.
