The Changing Face of DSC

The regular visitors to the club will know it is all action during the day with excavators, large trucks tipping rocks on the foreshore and jack hammers and concrete sanders inside the old bar area.
The good news is all this work is proceeding at a rapid rate of knots and it shouldn’t be very long before we can all sit back and admire the improvements to our facilities. There will be the whose out there who aren’t happy with the changes but this is a positive move for the club and these have been very necessary improvements and it won’t be long before we will all be enjoying the improvements.
The bar staff will have a pleasant ergonomically efficient area in which to work. For thirsty members and guests there will be a lot more cold storage area for an increased variety of products available..

The annual Dry Season Working Bee in the Boat Parks is on Saturday 10th April which is the week after Easter. The yardie has been spraying weeds etc so the job shouldn't be a huge one. The usual snags and fluids will be provided by the Club to participants. Bring gloves, hat and shovel.

House Update: Renovations

Behind the orange plastic the bar area is taking on anew look thanks to the hard work of a number of members and contractors. It is busy and dusty back there but you can still talk with the office staff. Just walk in behind the plastic that is protecting the rest of the club from the dust. The staff will be only to pleased to assist to you.

As you can see from photos on this site there are a number of  areas around the club were work is taking place.
Safety around the club is very important to the Management Committee, if you see something in need of repair please let us know, speak with a staff member. We do regular inspections but things can occur in between times.

Both Thursday and Friday night draws have stood at $2000, last Friday night we had a very popular winner of the Friday night $2000. John was present when his number was called. John is well known to the sailors as he regularly assists on race days either on the water or in the tower.
Well done John.

We still have a $2000 jackpot on Thursday night. Friday’s kitty has been creeping up while the jackpot stood at $2000. remember if you want to collect as John did you have to be at the club when your number is drawn.
